Your greatest asset is also your biggest liability

It is very nice to have runners that are driven to improve. This is a huge asset for the team and the reason the team has improved so fast. The drive to improve can also be a liability which is why you need to follow Coach Visokey's instructions very carefully.
Spread the stress of the workouts over the whole week. The pace line really helps. You should use it on the hill intervals as well as the tempo run this week at Vasquez. Everyone has done a great job to avoid racing the workouts!

The two runners that had the best race by far at Mt Sac ran well within themselves on the first mile. Bryan is a miler so his 4:58 is only 85-90% of his max potential. No one knows Andrew's true potential yet. I have heard the guys talk about Andrew as being competition for Scott next year. Who do we know personally that has run 17:06 at Mt Sac their first try? I do know he ran a perfectly paced race along with Bryan. Congrats to both of you! Ray you are a work horse, very even splits. Congrats on the mile PR to Ray and Scott. I had Scott at 4:54.
