High Desert Invitational

Team,

We were once again fabulous at the High Desert Invitational yesterday. Despite not racing our top 5 runners we ran the second fastest time in team history at the Invitational. Our varsity boys finished 6th out of the 10 teams, and 2nd among the small schools. Putting this in perspective means that we were very successful. Congratulations to all!

After my analysis, I determined that the course was about 1 minute slower than the course at Bosco, and about 30 seconds faster than the High Desert Invitational last year. A little over half of you were within one minute of your time at Bosco, and the others still did very well. Running two races in one week is tough on your body so you need to keep that in mind when you look at your time for this race.

The athlete that was closest to his time on Saturday was John Crocker who ran a 22:00 at Bosco, and a 22:30 at High Desert. Great job John, you are coming along well. For varsity Josh DeVore was only 35 seconds off of his time Saturday, Ray Biggerstaff only 39 seconds, Jonathan Kuzichev only 41 seconds, and Kyle Pounder only 44 seconds. That is a great varsity showing.

I have attached the team results for the first two races.

In His Service,

Coach Visokey
